GENERAL TERMS OF USE

1. The email quota per account for all our packages is 250 MB. The email sending limit is up to 150 per hour. Ownhost.net may make changes to hourly sending limits.
2. Backups taken by the customer are hosted on the server for 3 days and may then be automatically removed by the system.
3. Packages cannot be used for purposes contrary to the concept of web hosting, such as file sharing, data storage or backup.
4. Packages cannot be used for bulk / spam email sending. Ownhost.net may impose restrictions on hourly sending when it deems necessary.
5. The customer is obliged to back up the data they own. Our company cannot be held responsible for possible data losses.
6. A 100% migration guarantee cannot be given for the free site migration service.
7. Unlimited features good-faith use is based on this principle. The aim here is for our customers to use their packages in good faith without hitting any limit. Packages include a CPU limit application based on this principle. The good-faith monthly traffic usage checkpoint is 50 GB. The good-faith disk usage checkpoint is 10 GB.
8. Unless otherwise stated in our packages, the CPU usage limit is 25% of one processor core. In certain packages this rate can go up to 50%.
9. In all hosting packages, parked (alias) domains can only be used for mirroring the existing website. For uses outside website publishing (mail, etc.), OwnHost may suspend the relevant services without notice.
10. On our shared hosting infrastructure, the use of any function or library that could affect server security is not allowed.
11. On shared hosting infrastructure, no additional functions can be provided beyond the PHP functions available on the control panel. Users who want to install third-party modules on standard applications (WordPress, OpenCart, etc.) need to check these functions before installing their applications.
12. Users who receive service from our shared hosting infrastructure do not have SSH access rights.
13. On our shared hosting infrastructure, the use of the PHP functions exec, escapeshellarg, popen and proc_open is not allowed.
14. Ownhost.net may periodically monitor resource usage (CPU, number/size of files, MySQL, MSSQL, traffic, disk usage, etc.) and may ask the customer to reduce their resource consumption. In cases where package limits or fair-use principles are exceeded, the system may automatically perform limiting, suspension, redirection to a special page, or restriction.
15. ownhost.net may, when it deems necessary and regardless of criteria such as resource usage or server performance, make IP, server and infrastructure changes for active packages without notifying the user.
16. Ownhost.net has the right to terminate the service and issue a refund at any time without giving a reason.
17. Ownhost.net reserves the right to make changes to hosting packages, to the articles affecting these packages, and to all other elements.

 

Domains Not Allowed to Be Registered / Transferred

Domains that do not comply with the items listed below are not allowed to be registered, transferred or hosted on our servers. Domains found not to comply with these rules may be deleted without prior warning.

All other content that could potentially harm children and minors, including child pornography, is strictly prohibited. Any website containing child pornography or links to it will be taken offline immediately without notice.

Providing seamless, high-standard service to all our users is our top priority. The rules and limits mentioned in the package details are set within the scope of this priority. Accordingly, the consumption of disk, traffic, CPU and other resources is not allowed to reach a level that would in any way negatively affect our main system and the users sharing this system.

All our individual and corporate users have the right to use a healthy email service. Our zero-tolerance policy against spam, as well as all other measures we take, are intended to ensure the continuity of this service.

We are aware that our users' data may be valuable to them, whatever service they have. However, we cannot know how great that value is. We expect our users to inform us if this value exceeds the monthly value of the hosting service fee. For this reason, we recommend that our users regularly back up their sites to their own computers, even if they purchase a backup service. We want every user to know that the responsibility for taking backups is 100% their own, regardless of the service they receive. In the event of possible data loss, even if no additional backup service has been purchased from us, we are happy to share with them any backups we hold against system errors, should they be available.

We would like to state that our packages and the resources and limits they have are always checked on the basis of good-faith use, and that all operations are carried out with this principle in mind.
