Information About the Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK)

Protecting the personal data of you, our valued users who visit the sites of OwnHost and our other brands and benefit from the services they provide, within the scope of the laws of the Republic of Turkey, is one of our top priorities.
Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable person, such as name, surname, national ID number and contact details. Your personal data may be processed within the framework of Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"), Electronic Communications Law No. 5809, the regulations of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority and the Personal Data Protection Authority, and other relevant legislation; and in accordance with the relevant legislation, our company takes all technical and administrative measures to ensure an appropriate level of security in order to prevent the unlawful processing of and unlawful access to your personal data and to ensure its safekeeping.
Pursuant to KVKK article 4:
1. Personal data may only be processed in accordance with the procedures and principles stipulated in this Law and other laws.
2. The following principles must be observed in the processing of personal data:
Although it may vary depending on the product, service or commercial activity offered by Ownhost, your personal data may be collected verbally, in writing or electronically through automated or non-automated methods, via offices, the website, social media channels, mobile applications and similar means. Your personal data may be processed by being created and updated for as long as you benefit from Ownhost's products and services. In addition, your personal data may be processed when you visit our website or attend trainings, seminars or events organized by Ownhost.
Your recorded personal data is shared, to the extent necessary, with: third-party companies, institutions and organizations for services such as domain name registration, license registration, SSL registration and similar; the manufacturers of software depending on the services and licenses used in server services; banks or credit card institutions for payment and collection services; third-party email-delivery companies that provide email-sending services; companies and institutions that process electronic documents such as e-invoices and e-archives for billing and accounting operations; third-party statistics and analytics companies for measuring user experience and conducting marketing activities; and legal authorities.
Your collected personal data may be transferred to legally authorized public institutions and private persons, within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVK Law, for the following purposes: carrying out the necessary work by our units to provide you with the products and services offered by Ownhost; recommending Ownhost's products and services to you by customizing them according to your preferences, usage habits and needs; ensuring the legal and commercial security of Ownhost and of persons in a business relationship with Ownhost; and determining and implementing Ownhost's commercial and business strategies as well as carrying out its human resources policies.
Your personal data is obtained, in any verbal, written or electronic environment and in line with the purposes set out above, for the purpose of enabling Ownhost to provide its products and services within the determined legal framework and, in this context, to fully and correctly fulfill its contractual and legal obligations. The personal data collected for this legal reason may also be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in clauses (1) and (2) of this text, within the scope of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVK Law.
As personal data owners, should you submit your requests regarding your rights to Ownhost using the methods set out below, Ownhost will conclude the request free of charge as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the process requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff determined by the Personal Data Protection Board will be charged by Ownhost.
In this context, personal data owners;
Pursuant to Article 13, paragraph 1 of Law No. 6698, you may submit your request regarding the exercise of the rights mentioned above to Ownhost in writing or by other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board. Since the Personal Data Protection Board has not yet determined any method, you must submit your application to Ownhost in writing, as required by Law No. 6698.
