What local email says
Local email means the mailbox sits on servers in Turkey. The introduction on the OwnHost local email page writes two splits. A KVKK duty is not completed by location alone. Data processing looks at the privacy policy. Local software and data sitting in Turkey are different subjects. The badge says “KVKK compliant”. The introduction says compliance does not end at the mailbox address. At order time, the second sentence is the one that counts.
The privacy text is in the privacy policy. The notice is on the KVK page. Location does not replace those texts. Whose data is processed, how long it is kept, and who receives it are policy questions. The server’s country is one line of the question.
Four cards
The prices on the page are monthly. Local Email 10 shows $3.99 for 10 mailboxes and 100 GB of total space. Local Email 25 shows $7.99 for 25 mailboxes and 250 GB. Local Email 50 shows $15.99 for 50 mailboxes and 500 GB. Local Email 100 shows $30.99 for 100 mailboxes and 1000 GB. The space is still a total. It is not split per mailbox.
The same mailbox counts have a different price on the corporate mail page. There, 10 mailboxes show $4.99, 25 show $8.99, 50 show $16.99, and 100 show $32.99. Place the order from the card on the page you chose. This article puts the two screen prices side by side. The last line at checkout is what that page’s card shows.
The line that is not on the card
The local cards list POP, IMAP, mobile use, antispam, antivirus, and free migration and setup. An address book and a calendar are there too. An ActiveSync line is not on these cards. It is on the corporate mail card. If the phone must sync contacts and the calendar with ActiveSync, do not pick the local card for that reason. IMAP syncs mail. Contacts and the calendar are another protocol. The detail is in the protocol article.
A free ETRN line is not on the local card either. The corporate mail page writes that line. Paid ETRN for your own server is $9.99 a month on the ETRN page. Local email is not a spare for your own mail server. The mailboxes are at OwnHost.
The hourly limit is on the local page too. A bulk newsletter is forbidden. Standard mail is written as 500 messages an hour. That is the same cap as corporate mail. A Turkey location does not remove the limit.
Infrastructure and backup
The page says data is kept on active-passive SAN storage. The Intel Xeon, 40 Gbps, and NVMe sentences on the corporate mail page are not repeated on the local page. The local text says “current-generation CPU, storage, and network”. This article does not add a model that is not written.
The uptime target is written as 99.95 percent. That is not an outage credit. A backup does not always bring a deleted account back. The FAQ says restore is free when the backup is on the system. If it is not, there is no copy to return. Export your own copy before you delete.
Migration is written as free. The source can be Yandex, Google Workspace, Office 365, or a similar service. A “without data loss” sentence is in the feature text. The move still depends on access at the source. The steps are in the migration article. Do not close the old service before MX changes.
When the local card fits
If mailboxes staying in Turkey is a written need, look at the local page. If the need is ActiveSync, look at the corporate mail card. Both write antispam and a total disk. Neither is a newsletter service. Neither is the whole KVKK file. After you pick the location, read the privacy text. Then write down the mailbox count and the total GB. Ten people and 100 GB look at the $3.99 card. If the space is not enough, move to the 250 GB line on the 25-mailbox card. If the headcount is small and the archive is large, look at the space on the next card too. Mailbox count alone is not enough.
